This page explains how to report copyright infringement on Slappcard, how we respond, and our policy on repeat infringers. Slappcard LLC is not registered in the US Copyright Office DMCA Designated Agent Directory as of the effective date of these terms, so this page does not claim the protections of 17 U.S.C. section 512(c). We intend to complete that registration and will update this page when it is done.

How to send a takedown notice

If you believe content on Slappcard infringes your copyright, email contact@slappcard.com with:

• a description of the work you say was copied;
• where the content is, such as the card link or page address;
• your name, mailing address, email address and phone number;
• a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not allowed by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
• a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are allowed to act for the owner; and
• your typed or written signature.

What we do with a notice

When we receive a complete notice, we may remove the content or pause the card, and we may tell the artist who uploaded it.

Repeat infringer policy

We terminate the accounts of artists who repeatedly infringe copyright. An artist whose account receives three compliant takedown notices is terminated, and their cards and fan pages are taken down. We may terminate sooner for serious or deliberate infringement.

Counter-notice

If you believe your content was removed by mistake, email contact@slappcard.com with your name, address, phone number, the location of the removed content, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake, and your signature. We will review it.

Cover songs and other licensed music

Artists promise they own or have licensed everything they upload, including any cover song. Slappcard does not obtain mechanical or public-performance licences on an artist's behalf. If you upload a cover, you are responsible for securing the licences that apply where your fans listen.
